About JBC Commercial Real Estate
JBC Commercial Real Estate was formed in August of 2019 by two long-time veterans of the regional commercial real estate industry, President and Managing Broker Jim Buus and Vice President Lori Ibach. The two have a combined 50+ years of commercial property experience.
JBC Commercial consists of a diversified team of professionals ready to be your resource. JBC Commercial’s primary office is located in Fargo, ND, but serves areas throughout the region including Detroit Lakes, MN.
Jim is a Fargo, ND, native and graduate of North Dakota State University. He has enjoyed an over 33-year career in a variety of community development and commercial real estate ventures. He was affiliated with Fargo-based GOLDMARK Commercial for 23 years before concluding his tenure there having served as President and Managing Broker. In late 2019, he started JBC Commercial Real Estate.
Jim is also involved in a variety of business ventures and community involvement projects. He currently serves on the boards of the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation (current board chair), and 701 Angel Fund, and has served until recently on the boards of the NDSU Research & Technology Park and the City of Fargo Financial Incentives and Economic Development Committee. In his free time, Jim and his wife enjoy spending time with friends and family at their lake home, traveling, and NDSU athletics.
Lori is a Nashua, MN, native and graduate of Minnesota State Technical and Community College. She worked in commercial real estate for over 27 years at GOLDMARK Commercial before leaving to start and co-own JBC Commercial Real Estate. Lori’s experience covers virtually all aspects of commercial real estate brokerage including sales and leasing, management, build-to-suit/leasebacks, project consulting, and acting as a developer and investor.
