Unseen Guardians is a growing movement of businesses choosing to stand on the front lines of the fight against human trafficking—right from the workplace. Through sustainable monthly giving, Official Unseen Guardian businesses fund Unseen, a platinum-transparency 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and help accelerate real, measurable impact. In the last year alone, Unseen and its 33 anti-trafficking partners directly served 132,050 people worldwide. The Unseen Guardians model is to have businesses show up, commit together, and help push back against one of the greatest injustices of our time.
At its heart, Unseen Guardians is about purpose at work. The organization envisions a world where exploiters are stopped, vulnerable people have livelihoods, and survivors pursue lives of freedom and impact. By joining the program, businesses of any size or industry can build a culture of meaning and action. Employees don’t have to take on extra tasks or change their day-to-day routines to matter. By simply coming to work, they become part of a movement that protects people and fuels hope.
A program built for impact— and for companies of any size
Unseen Guardians exists to make it easy for employers to engage the fight against trafficking in a consistent, sustainable way. When a company joins, Unseen Guardians suggests donating $1 per day per employee each month. It’s a tangible way to recognize the impact employees have by just showing up and doing their jobs. That small daily commitment, multiplied across teams and communities, creates steady funding that supports anti-trafficking work at scale.
The program was founded by Ryan Goodman and Brady Nash, two entrepreneurs with a shared passion for building philanthropic, people-first workplace cultures. They co-founded Unseen Guardians to help employers bring their businesses—and their employees—into the fight against human trafficking and its root causes. Their belief is that businesses have enormous power to lead change, and employees are most fulfilled when their work connects to something bigger than themselves.
What it’s like to join
Signing up to become an Official Unseen Guardian business takes minutes. Companies simply enter their name and choose a monthly donation amount. Many choose to follow the $1/day per employee recommendation, but businesses can select any level that fits.
After signing up, members receive marketing resources and employee engagement tools to help them share their commitment internally and externally. That includes ways to communicate impact, engage teams, and demonstrate that the company is actively supporting the work of ending trafficking.
A culture that includes every employee
Employees of Official Unseen Guardian businesses are Unseen Guardians. Just by showing up to work, they enable their employer’s participation in the movement. But they’re also invited into deeper engagement if they want it. Team members can take part in training to spot signs of trafficking and report it appropriately. They may volunteer remotely or in person with Unseen or partner organizations. They can also explore direct-relief projects that help Unseen partners grow their operations and reach more people.
